Out For a Long Time
The Denver Bronco's left tackler, Ryan Clady, won't be able to play for 3-4 months. After playing basketball, he tore the patella tendon in his knee. Three days later he had to have surgery. The patella tendon is very important to a football player especially a tackler. When you are going to tackle someone you must put all your weight on your leg to get some sort of stability. By his tendon being torn he needs to give it rest and therapy so he will be able during the regular season if he will even be able by then to play. It is said that he will miss the preseason. His family and friends and especially his teammates are hoping that he will be recovered by then.
Penn Relays
Usain Bolt has once again took the attention as he zoomed pass everyone on the final leg of the 4 x 100 during the Penn Relays. The crowd was full of black, green, and yellow. Jamaican fans everywhere filled up Philadeplhia streets and seats to see as lightning struck across the track feild to get first place. That's exactly what Bolt did indeed. This was the first competition for him in 2010 and it looks like he has a good start. Ivory Williams of USA Blue was on the final leg against Usain Bolt. He said "I ran a real good fourth leg, but I couldn't pass him up [Bolt]. I don't care if it's Usain Bolt or not, I'm trying to win. When they're cheering for Usain Bolt, I feel like they're cheering for me. I knew I wasn't going to be able to pass him up, but I was trying. I think we really can beat these guys." I guess fans will just have to keep on waiting for the day when someone beats Bolt.
